About

I’m Mark “MHLoppy” Heath, and I’m from Melbourne, Australia. Some people call me Loppy.

In League of Legends I’ve achieved Challenger on the OCE server across multiple seasons, and was Diamond 1 (and climbing) when playing on NA despite the troublesome 200 ping disadvantage. That difficulty lead me to focus less on mechanics and sick outplays, and more on macro decision making such as optimal item builds, good teleport usage, and manipulating minion waves (particularly during an era where high-level players were only just figuring that out – including me).

Here you can find articles about League of Legends, where I leverage my expertise to provide meaningful insights into the decision making process across various aspects of the game. There is of course also my detailed Olaf guide, which my readers say is one of the best guides out there.

Sometimes I’ll also cover other games, such as specific strategies for Rise of Nations, or perhaps Loadouts in Alien Swarm.

With a history of building and tinkering with computers, you’ll sometimes see an article about that or other tech-related topics. A few times a year I publish my System Guide for Australian readers, advising about component selections at a variety of price points. You can also take a look at an archive of the systems which I’ve helped to put together, including a rundown of component choices and a reflection on how well each system has held up over time.

Of course, now and then I might delve into something outside of those topics. Maybe something about music (I play piano), maybe something else. We’ll have to wait and see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
